I think Seth Meyers put it best recently when he said something to the extent of, “ no matter what you think about Donald Trump… we can all agree that he’s weird. He is a weird, weird man.”
I couldn’t agree more. Watching Trump do his thing is both hilarious and troubling in the fact that this is the man who leads the free world at the moment. How can a man have control of THE Button, if he can’t even control an umbrella?
Internationally Trump comes off as, in general, ridiculous. He regularly does embarrassing and odd things while alongside foreign leaders and diplomats.
Enter Vladimir Putin. No pun intended.
Even before campaigning for president, Trump started to get weird about Putin. Several times, Trump praised Putin and talked about being buddies. The allegations of Russian meddling into the US presidential election in Trump’s favour, the closed door meeting at the Helsinki-Summit, and the rumoured future meetings inspired me in an odd way. It seems to me that Putin has the power in the relationship, for one reason or another.
